The goal of Carroll Tomorrow under the Advantage Carroll 2020 plan is to facilitate expanded training of the future workforce through community collaboration and enhanced education efforts, virtual job training, increased dual enrollment, and more. Additionally, Carroll Tomorrow will conduct a workforce skills gap analysis and publish the results.

Advantage Carroll 2020 5-year Workforce Education and DevelopmentĀ Goals are:

  • Conduct a workforce skills gap analysis and publish results
  • Work with education partners to increase dual enrolled students by 20 percent
  • Work with education partners to establish Junior Achievement, or another similar work-based learning model, in schools
  • Advocate the addition of “soft skills” and financial literacy programs in the school systems
  • Expand and enhance training of workers to local industry and improve awareness of local skills needs
  • Partner to develop virtual job mart/training in Carroll County
