Local Government and Leadership
The willingness and capacity of leaders to collaborate and partner to achieve goals is one of the most important measures of a local community’s potential for success. The Carroll County community, through the implementation of the 2000 strategy, has proven itself capable of gathering committed partners to achieve shared goals. Maintaining the commitment to regularly convene meetings of key leadership, as well as more openly and aggressively seeking to include previously underrepresented populations in Carroll County’s leadership structure, is needed to continue the positive growth. In addition, efforts to nurture and attract the next generation of leaders are integral next steps.
